About us

Derived from the amalgamation of Marathi words “Nar” = Human & “Aai” = Mother, the Naraai Project is about rehabilitating, protecting & celebrating the universal nurturer of humanity - Mother Earth.

The name “Naraai” also has Japanese origins: “Nara” means happiness & “Naraai” means the normal state of being.

Thus our name is an embodiment of our ethos - ie., when we instill nature positivity & sustainable practices at the core of everything we do, we build better earth systems that optimize the happiness of the planet & its people.
